Subject: A guide to making money on the Internet.

ABOUT THE RICH JERK
If you have seen his website then you probably think that the Rich Jerk is some arrogant, rude, jerk.  Aside from that little is known about the true identity of the Rich Jerk.  He does make quite regular posts in his blog located at http://www.therichjerk.com/blog/ which does give you an insight.  He has also held the top spot on ClickBank and still holds a relatively high position today.  Other than that the Rich Jerk and his identity is still shrouded in mystery.

ABOUT THE EBOOK
"The Rich Jerk's Guide to making Money on the Internet" (to give the ebook its full name) details seven ideas you can use to make money on the internet which are:
·    Creating an Affiliate Website!!
·    Search Engine Pay Per Click (PPC) Strategies!!
·    Search Engine Optimisation!!
·    Selling your own Information Product!!
·    Buying wholesale and selling on eBay!!
·    Websites you can make Profitable Right Now!!

For each of the above topics the Rich Jerk explains how you would go about setting them up.  On top of this he has also included bonus materials which include; "Other Online Ventures to consider", "Supplemental Info for Beginners", and "Quality Products Services that are Recommended."

Overall, the Rich Jerk is a good ebook for beginners as it gets you thinking about how to set up multiple income streams on the Internet, which is essential for long-term success.  It also provides you with enough information to set up each of the above income streams on your own.  However, if you want to take each income stream to the next level you will likely have to purchase an ebook related to that stream e.g. an ebook specialising in affiliate marketing.  That is the main problem with the Rich Jerk, it is aimed mainly at beginners, and therefore lacks depth.  If you are thinking of setting up one or more of the above income streams then the Rich Jerk is a good beginners guide, but if you are reasonably knowledgeable in the above fields then the Rich Jerk is unlikely to tell you anything new.  When I purchased this ebook I was relatively unfamiliar with Internet Marketing outside of eBay so the Rich Jerk proved a useful reference point for me to expand my websites.  If you are in this situation the Rich Jerk would be a useful purchase.  If not your money would be best spent elsewhere.

GOOD POINTS
·    Provides a variety of useful, applicable ideas for making money on the Internet.
·    The language is concise and straight to the point with no technical jargon.
·    As a reader you are unlikely to have thought about all the possible money making strategies detailed in this ebook.

BAD POINTS
·    It is aimed at the beginner so if you are looking to specialise in one particular area this ebook will not be useful.
·    Lacks depth in certain areas and some issues are merely skimmed over.

HOW I HAVE GAINED FROM THE RICH JERK
As I have already stated, prior to reading the Rich Jerk I only sold ebooks on eBay.  Reading the Rich Jerk opened my eyes to the importance of Internet Marketing outside of eBay.  In particular I began to use Google Adsense and ClickBank's Affiliate Program on my websites.  I also began to promote my website through Article Submission (one of the best ways to drive free traffic to your website) and Pay per Click Advertising.  Without reading the Rich Jerk I would never have considered these avenues for my business.

eBook Profits - Why a Free Sample Chapter Can Send Your Profits Soaring!

Why should anyone give a sample chapter or mini-version of their book for free?  The main reason  -  usually to sell or make money  -  isn’t always accomplished at the front end of the marketing process, it often comes later, and brings profits way beyond your best expectations.

Here’s how and why to use the sample chapter technique to generate leads for your info product.
  1. To test your idea for a new information product before spending days, weeks, months creating something nobody wants to buy.  If few people request the freebie, your product is almost certainly a no-goer, similarly if the freebie is popular but results in few or no paid-for orders.
  2. The sample chapter can be a selling tool not only for its own full length paid-for version, but for other products too, where for example a list or catalogue of additional products is included with the giveaway item.  For instance, the first chapter of ‘The Way to a Man’s Heart: Cooking with Known Aphrodisiacs’ might generate interest in the paid-for version of the book and might additionally direct readers to web sites offering related info products, such as ‘1001 Ways to Be Romantic’, ‘How to Find the Man of Your Dreams’, and so on.  It pays to be careful, however, when including links for other people’s products, and ensure they do not detract from the real reason the sample chapter was given, namely to sell that cookery book.  As for all things in mail order, direct mail, online marketing, you must test response to all your promotions.
  3. The first chapter can represent a ‘suck it and see’ guarantee to a product delivered in installments, such as correspondence courses, resell rights packages, and so on.  If Chapter One or Module One isn’t as expected, readers can cancel their post-dated standing order or request a refund of money already paid.
  4. Sample chapters can be articles you’ve written for payment elsewhere, where copyright is yours, and the article or series of articles is expanded to book or course format.  A popular article is its own proof of a likely best selling book and you’ve probably completed most of the research already, and been paid for it.
  5. You could give the sample chapter with the full version of the product which is password protected.  Readers who enjoy the test version and decide to go full length simply give credit card details through such as ClickBank and move to a ‘Thank You page’ which provides the password for the full book already in their possession.  (Knowing the full length book is sitting there, tying up space on their desktop, just screaming out to be opened and read, is all the incentive most people need to get that password fast!)
  6. You could write an article based on your full length info product, but leave the reader dangling somewhere between casting the article to one side and buying your book.

Ways to do this:

-  Leave questions in your article which are answered in the full length title.  Make readers curious, give cryptic clues, leave the most vital information for Part Two – the paid-for product!

-  Offer articles to editors and publishers of print and online publications and end with questions that are answered at your web site where readers can buy books related to the subject of the article.

-  Get readers to subscribe to your eZine where you’ll answer those niggling
questions and in autoresponder follow ups you’ll promote your main book to the very limit of temptation!

*  The free sample gives credibility in you and your writing ability.  People know the book has  -  probably  -  already been written, and is of similar quality to what they’ve already sampled.  If they have money and they like your work, they’ll buy.  Probably!

*  The sample chapter can include a contents listing for the full length version, where readers can check length (yes some people still believe quantity outshines quality) and you can induce sales with tempting chapter titles and snippets.  It’s a good idea to give the page numbers on which certain highlighted features occur, especially where pages run into triple figures (again, never mind the quality, feel the width), and chapter headings are themselves deliciously vague.  Like this:

“Here’s a sneak preview of ‘1001 Easy Ways to Get Rich Overnight!’

-  How to live in a luxury home without having a mortgage and never having to pay a penny rent (Chapter Twenty Four, Page 201)

-  The four letter word that gets you everything you want out of life, and more!  (Chapter Twenty Five, Page 273)

-  How to get a brand new car and drive it away without having to pay!  (Chapter Twenty Six, Page 307)

-  Four words that guarantee you free travel for the rest of your life!  (Chapter Twenty Nine, Page 406)”

*  People will retain your sample chapter far longer than they will normally keep a sales letter, especially of the printed variety or on a web site with a domain name they’ll soon forget.  So although the majority of people will buy the full length product quite soon after receiving the freebie, you might still get a steady trickle of sales later when busy people find time to read your sample chapter.

Never forget the most common reason of all is to tempt readers of the free infoproduct to click on the link on the very last page where they find your order form and BUY YOUR BOOK!

Power of Ebook

An ebook is one of the most powerful ways to promote your business, while educating people with the knowledge you already posses as a business owner of a specific product or service.  An ebook is the easiest way to reach any large niche audience of any type.  Ebooks will not only promote your business, but will establish you as an expert in your field.

The largest reason people read books is to answer some type of question, or questions about a specific topic, or niche.  You as the author are now in a position to establish yourself as an expert about your topic or niche.  Your readers diligently read to answer their questions, success means delivering solid content about your topic or niche to your readers.  Don’t guess about how much information to write into your book just over deliver the content to your readers.  You will develop a reputation for writing books with solid content that is a value at any price.  But, where to start as a writer?  As a novice writer with an overflowing base of knowledge, short books are a great way to get your feet wet!

Write a short book first.

If you have a topic or information you want to sell, than just write a small ebook to start out with.  Write 10 to 20 pages of your book and than ad some graphics.  If your book is packed with good content, people will not mind paying 20 bucks for a 20 page book; quality.  Once you have your feet wet with a short book, than plan your next book.  You can than plan and organize your next book, after all, you have gained a wealth of experience from writing your small book.

Create Volumes Of Information

One effective tactic is to write a series of books, and label them as volumes, and promote as Volume One, Volume Two, etc. .  Create a buzz about your next volume in the current volume you are writing.  Offer incentives to the readers for example; a discount, or special bonuses for purchasing the next volume of your book.

Organizing Your Ebook

Organizing your ebook is not as difficult as you may think.  If you can write a grocery list,  than organizing an ebook will be simple.
  1. Start out with writing on paper or computer 1- 10.  Write the topic you want to cover next to each digit on your paper.  You now have outlined your chapters
  2. Write capital A, B, C, under each topic (Chapter).  These will be your chapter sub headings.
  3. Below the capital letters (subheading) write lower case letters a b c.  By writing a, b, c, you now can write one or two keywords or phrases to be anchors to remember what information you will put in you subheadings.  You are now ready to write your book.
When you use this format on paper or computer, and you read the text laid out in an organized manor, your mind will automatically want to fill in the gaps.  The human brain just will not tolerate gaps in anything.  Your thoughts will compel you to finish the job.  By using this technique you will accomplish an amazing amount of work.  After all your hard work how will you tell the world about your ebook?

ADVERTISING METHODS

1. Articles

You can write articles to brand your work in the minds of readers.  Write your articles relevant to the topic of your book, but don’t give away the farm.  The articles are also making quality content for your website.  Remember search engines love quality content.

2. Blogs/RSS

Blogging is another way to create content for your website, and by using RSS, you can easily distribute your content.  Most don't understand what RSS really is, or how it can most effectively be used to drive traffic to their sites. Basically, RSS is a form of code that's very search engine friendly. With RSS feeds, which you can add to your website or blog, you can create content that updates itself. Because of this self-updating, the search engines will spider your site more often, raising your rankings.  But, the primary reason is you are reaching a larger, and more specific audience.  Blogs and RSS readers are choosing the content they wish to read.  Always remember your target audience is attempting to answer their questions.

3. Search Engine Optimization

Optimizing your site for the search engines means creating keyword rich content, exchanging links with other sites, submitting your site to directories, which create back links pointing to your site.

5. Distribute a Free Chapter to Your Readers

One of the best ways to advertise is give away a free chapter of your ebook away.  Place links in the book where your readers can purchase your ebook.  Giving away chapter one is the best because you are telling the reader what they are going to learn;   but not in any detail.  The readers grow hungry for more information and want to buy.

Make It Viral

If you make your ebook brandable, which means others can place their links, and affiiate id  inside your ebook, your ebook becomes viral. You give others an incentive to share your ebook and spread it across the internet.  Once you implement these content strategies on your site, add streams of revenue to your site like Adsense and Virtual Portals. These sites will allow you to monetize your site.

Conclusion

Don’t be afraid of writing ebooks it is a great way to build your expertise and credibility with  the internet community.  You also will bring a lot of customers to your website.  Implement these strategies and you will be successful.  Remember, your reputation depends on the quality of the product you produce.

The Reason to Use Graphic Templates

When it comes to graphics, most Internet marketers shy away from using graphic templates whether it's ebook covers, website layouts or promotional banners because they firmly believe that by using graphic templates, they are tarnishing their own business. They want to own a unique identity and hence will always find a professional graphic designer to do the job. Well, you're in for a big surprise!

When you purchase a graphic template, you will be able to customize it to an extent or even build a totally new design based on it! What's the point of using the template then, you say? Well, it serves as a source of inspiration and ideas for a totally new design. You can't derive anything from a blank canvas, right?

On top of that, you are actually saving a lot of precious time that you can otherwise spend on more important matters like developing new products or market your products. When you buy a pre-made template, you only need to edit a thing or two to give it an identity of your own, and that gives you more time and flexibility to work on other stuff.

Okay, let's say you argue that hiring a designer to do the job is equally fast. That may be true but don't forget, hiring a professional designer to do a custom design for you will cost you a lot of money. Unless you need a totally unique identity that you are aiming to establish firmly in your niche market, you don't need to get a designer to design it for you.

6 Internet Marketing Myths

Every day thousands of people go online to make money but most of them fail miserably because they either truly believe one of the 6 Internet Marketing Myths or or all of them. You can read them below and discover the grain of salt in all of them.

Myth 1: Internet Marketing is EASY

This is probably the biggest myth of all, and let me tell you Internet marketing is hard, takes time, effort not mention money and anyone who suggests otherwise is trying to sell you a bunch of horse hockey. Granted that it's comparatively easier to brick and mortar in that there's no inventory to carry, no shipping of goods no sales staff and virtually no overhead, but a lot of work is still involved.

Increase Blog Traffic

Blogs are a very popular ways of promoting your product or service. They are easy to install, easy to administer and easy to update. And search engines love them too. But what is a blog without traffic?Exactly. There are five quick ways to increase traffic to your blog and start seeing those big sales.

1.Build a list of blog services to ping
There are a lot of blog services you can ping. This means that you notify this service, that you've updated your blog. These services then list your new posts and you get the traffic from them. I've made a list of 50+ blog services you can ping on my site. These list are also available if you search google or any other search engine for it. That should be enough to give an initial boost to your traffic.

Bringing e-commerce to the next step

Conducting business online has gone far from its early beginnings in the 90s and went beyond the bubble burst of the dot com crash in 2002. The basic definition of e-commerce would be buying and selling through the internet. It is a business approach and like all business oriented approaches, development and improvement is inevitable. To bring your e-commerce to the next step would be the logical thing to do.

A good e-commerce strategy involves having the elements of the internet and components of marketing to work together. Some may argue that this e-commerce thing will blow out of proportion which could result to another wave of business crashes like what happened a more than five years ago.

Using the right business tools can help ensure that your online business will remain afloat. Integrating the right elements to your business strategy will reinforce your business agenda and help you reap the benefits of your business.

Now one of the tools in online business that is at your disposal is the e-commerce cart or otherwise and better known as the online shopping cart. This little business tool can transform your small business endeavor into a big online success.

An online shopping cart is a marketing tool where your customers place their shopping items and assist them in ordering the same online. It follows the concept of the real life shopping cart where you place whatever items you need and let a cashier compute the total for you. But instead of a cashier, the online shopping cart includes a component where the total of the order is computed for the customers.

There are a number of benefits of having a shopping cart integrated into your online business. The shopping cart offers a secure means for your customers to get the products they need and it offers you the same level of security to get the payment from them. It is a win-win situation which you should take full advantage of.

Without offering this level of security for online transactions, you will sure loose a lot of potential clients. By integrating a shopping cart, you will be able to expand your market base and eventually help increase your profits.

The same shopping cart technology will also help you organize your products list, will assist you in managing your business transactions and help you update your stocks and sales. The technology can even assist you in making projections which will be beneficial for you in future marketing decisions.

It can also make your life easier during tax season since sales and stock acquisitions can easily be acquired because store information is logged via the shopping cart. Indeed, acquiring a shopping cart software is a good investment and a logical move for your business.

To expand, diversify and improve your market base and services is what a good business approach should be. Whether it may be online or offline, bringing your business to a new level will bring in more benefits.

There are a number of companies that offer various kinds of e-commerce shopping carts and each can be customized to fit your needs. Do remember that this is an investment and as such is often not free. But bringing your e-commerce to the next step by means of a shopping cart will hopefully help you find the success that you dream of online.

Blogging | The New Frontier for your AUP

Building an acceptable use policy for blogging can be one of the tougher jobs for a company’s human resources and internal security divisions to develop. Blogging is a rapidly growing mode of communication that provides readers with material on everything from the day-to-day comments of authors, movie stars, characters on soap operas to hard-hitting news articles and columns. The growth of blogging has given rise to a multitude of programs and tools designed to help everyone from the personal blogger to corporate users.

But how does blogging affect an organization’s Acceptable Usage Policy (AUP)? In order to address blogging accurately in an AUP, you must first define what constitutes a blog.  The word “blog” is actually a shortened version of “web log” and is similar to a message board in that one can post thoughts and opinions to be read by others.  A blog can be viewed by the public or accessible only via password depending on how the owners have set it up.  Blogs can provide in-depth information about specific topics or they can be a place for writers to vent their feelings, but their ultimate goal is to bring readers together and then encourage interaction among them.

Blogging can be a harmless and interesting way to communicate with like-minded others but, like any unmanaged activity, the opportunity for abuse is always there. If an organization’s AUP addresses their Instant Messaging, Peer-to-Peer, email and other Web-based communications, they need to consider blogging as an important technology to include. Organizations should decide of they want their employees to be able to read blogs or post to them as part of an overall communications policy.

What are the ramifications of no AUP where blogs are concerned? The rapid growth rate of blogs in the country means that entire services like MyFamily.com and MyPlace.com are hosting communities of bloggers. A criminal utilized personal data posted in some blogs to stalk and attack young high-school girls.

Employees that post their identities and information to a response on a blog can influence decisions. For example, if an employee of a major computer corporation responded to a technical blog with advice about avoiding a new product line because of a lot of known ‘bugs’ the company is leaving itself open to legal exposure. Corporations require employees to sign non-disclosure agreements for a reason, the threat of exposure where company confidential information and intellectual property is concerned could have devastating financial consequences.

This is only one example, there are many others.  If a person severely disagrees with the content of a blog and starts what is known as a ‘flame’ war with the blogger through the comments section, the corporation may be held liable for the harassment if the employee is posting the responses through the corporation’s computers. What happens on company computers, whether permissible or not, is the responsibility of the company. They are considered legally culpable.

There are legal and financial reasons to be very clear in the AUP with regards to blogging. Some corporations, although only a small percentage, employ software that screens where and how an employee can browse the web. If there are filters preventing an employee from viewing a pornographic website, then there can be filters that prevent the viewing of political or day trading blogs. Blogs that focus on financial and business issues are growing more popular every day. These blogs may be a source of entertainment and information, but it is up to the corporation to decide the level of involvement that an employee may have.

It’s worth mentioning that anonymous guests can read most blogs, although they may not be able to post comments or responses. Blogs can be enormous resources for students, educators and other individuals for discussion, debate and the sharing of experiences. However, they need to be controlled and monitored.  Blogs are an excellent marketing tool, hooking visitors into the site by providing them with financial advice or credit building tips, for example. The marketing a blog can provide can translate into tens of thousands of hits a day for a site. It’s also important for some companies to get their message out there; blogs can put a human face on a company that seems only to be a corporate entity. That human face can improve customer relations, invite consumer contact and increase company visibility.  However, employees should be educated about the type of information they are allowed to post if they are allowed to respond.

Companies that maintain their own blogs should be particularly attuned to the commentary they generate. Blogging is a new frontier for the corporate world, but as with many prior innovations, they are quickly taking advantage of it.  Security, awareness and education will help corporations, employees and even their families from suffering negative experiences while blogging, reading blogs or responding to a blog on the Internet.

YouTube

If you are an active internet user, there is a good chance that you have heard of YouTube before. Despite the popularity of YouTube, there are many individuals who are actually unsure as to what it is.  If you are one of those individuals, it is advised that you start figuring it out.  Otherwise, you could be missing out on one of the best online experiences, ever.

YouTube is what is known as an online video website. Video websites are websites that allow internet users to make, upload, and share their videos with other internet users.  Many of the videos found on YouTube are homemade videos, made by everyday individuals.  The videos are streamed, which allows for the quick loading and playing of them.

Perhaps, what is best about YouTube is that it is a free service. There are a fairly large number of online video sites; all of these sites operate in different ways. When speaking of usage, there are a many online sites that charge you to become a member and others that charge you to watch certain videos. According to their website, YouTube is completely free.  You can not only watch videos made by others, but you can make your own and have access to a number of different YouTube features, without having to pay a thing.

If you are interested in just seeing what YouTube has to offer, you can easily do so by visiting their online website.  That website can be found by visiting www.youtube.com.  Once at YouTube’s main webpage, you can automatically begin searching for videos to watch.  To watch videos, you do not necessarily have to register with the site, but it is advised.  By registering with YouTube, you should be able to save your favorite videos, rate them, leave comments, and much more.  Also, once you register, you should be able to make your own videos and upload them to the site.

When it comes to finding videos to watch on YouTube, you will find that it is not difficult at all.  With a simple keyword search, you should be provided with videos matching the keywords that you searched with.  In addition to performing a standard search, you should also be able to browse through the videos that are hosted on the site.  You can browse through videos by highest rankings, most comments, most views, and most linked. All of these videos are ones that have, most likely, generated the most internet buzz.

While YouTube is a great place to watch all different kinds of videos, it is important to keep one thing in mind.  YouTube is used by a large number of internet users.  In fact, it can easily be considered the most popular online video website. This means that different individuals with different views and beliefs will be posting homemade videos.  YouTube does regulate the videos that are hosted on their site, but it is possible that you may take offense to the videos that you see.  Although it is difficult to determine what a video’s content will be by the video title, you are advised to avoid videos with titles may that cause you some concern.

Remember, if you are interested in seeing what the buzz is all about, you are encouraged to go visit www.youtube.com.  With a wide variety of different videos available and the ability to make your own, you are sure to find something that will make your visit worth while.

Avoid unnecessary element in a website

As a web designer, you should design your websites to give your visitors the greatest ease of use, the best impression and most important of all a welcoming experience. It doesn't matter if you had the greatest product in the whole world -- if your website is poorly done you won't be able to sell even one copy of it because visitors will be driven off your website by the lousy design.

When I'm talking about a "good design", I'm not only talking about a good graphical design. A professional web design will be able to point out that there are many components which contribute to a good website design -- accessibility design, interface or layout design, user experience design and of course the most straightforward, which is graphic design.

Hence, I have highlighted some features of the worst web designs I've come across. Hopefully, you will be able to compare that against your own site as a checklist and if anything on your site fits the criteria, you should know it's high time to take serious action!

1) Background music

Unless you are running a site which promotes a band, a CD or anything related to music, I would really advise you to stay away from putting looping background music onto your site. It might sound pleasant to you at first, but imagine if you ran a big site with hundreds of pages and everytime a visitor browses to another page on your site, the background music starts playing again. If I were your visitor, I'd just turn off my speakers or leave your site. Moreover, they just add to the visitors burden when viewing your site -- users on dial up connections will have to wait longer just to view your site as it is meant to be viewed.

2) Extra large/small text size

As I said, there is more to web design than purely graphics -- user accessibility is one big part of it too! You should design the text on your site to be legible and reasonably sized to enable your visitors to read it without straining their eyes. No matter how good the content of your website or your sales copy is, if it's illegible you won't be selling anything!

3) Popup windows

Popup windows are so blatantly used to display advertisements that in my mind, 90% of popup windows are not worth my attention so I just close them on instinct everytime each one manages to pass through my popup blocker (yes, I do have one like many users out there!) and, well, pops up on my screen. Imagine if you had a very important message to convey and you put it in a popup window that gets killed most of the time it appears on a visitor's screen. Your website loses its function immediately!

In concluding this article, let me remind you that as a webmaster your job is to make sure your website does what it's meant to do effectively. Don't let some minor mistakes stop your site from functioning optimally!

Improve Usability of Website

Website must function optimally, hence the usability of a website must be improved. Here are some tips to improve the usability of your website to ensure it serves its functions optimally.

1) Make sure the typography of your content is suitable.
If you have large blocks of text, make sure to use CSS to space out the lines accordingly. The longer a single line of text is, the greater the line-height of each line should be. Also, make sure the font size of your text is big enough to read easily. Some sites have 10-pixel-tall text in Verdana font; while that may look neat and tidy, you have to really strain your eyes to read the actual text.

The Cheap Way to Have Website

Normally, if we want to have professional designers custom build wer site, we must be prepared to dish out at least a few hundred dollars. All this can change if we know where to find the best deals, the best designs for the lowest price. Here's a rough guide:

First, we must understand that it is a rip off to get companies to design websites for us. Have we ever seen those advertisements in newspaper classified ad sections that offer a 5-page website at $500? These companies are established companies with physical locations, therefore they have to increase the amount they charge to pay off some overheads: office rent, designer's wages, advertising costs and so on.

Therefore, it would be wise to find freelance designers who work from home. These people are often working from home so they do not have a high operation cost like that of a company. On the other hand, they will be able to design images with quality similar to those of designers from big companies, so it's a "no-brainer" choice.

The Important Function of a Sitemap

Sitemap that can be translated into meaning that our websites are used to facilitate the search engine bot to recognize your site. Because it is so important, then disaranakan into your web page so it is advisable to provide the Sitemap file. By highlighting the importance of having a well constructed sitemap, you will be able to tailor your own sitemap to suit your own needs. Here I would like to share the importance of a site map.

1) Navigation purposes

A sitemap literally acts as a map of your site. If your visitors browses your site and gets lost between the thousands of pages on your site, they can always refer to your sitemap to see where they are, and navigate through your pages with the utmost ease.

Keep Visitors Coming Back

There are five ways to keep visitor coming back to our weblog or website. These five ways are as follow

1) Start a forum, chatroom or shoutbox

When you start a forum, chatroom or shoutbox, you are providing your visitors a place to voice their opinions and interact with their peers -- all of them are visitors of your site. As conversations build up, a sense of community will also follow and your visitors will come back to your site almost religiously every day.

2) Start a web log (blog)

Keep an online journal, or more commonly known as a blog, on your site and keep it updated with latest news about yourself. Human beings are curious creatures and they will keep their eyes glued to the monitor if you post fresh news frequently.
